Salford Triathlon Flagpoles

JMS had a small but important part to play in this year’s Salford Triathlon. A pair of our event flagpoles were used to display where competitors needed to complete their registration.

These flagpoles are perfect for triathlons and other outdoor summer events. The flagpoles ensure the registration area is visible above all other banner and signage. The amount of people competing in various waves means an efficient registration system is vital.

In this case we supplied the flagpoles with a water-filled base which can simply be drained after the event so the pole can be moved and reused in the future. The 5 metre flagpoles were provided complete with a flag. The rotating arms keeping the “registration” flags flying in all conditions with the 3m long bold monochrome artwork proving difficult to miss.

The now iconic Nuffield Health Salford triathlon took place on Sunday 31st July 2016. The event has quickly become popular in the triathlon calendar, its fast flat course makes the route ideal for all racing abilities. The stunning sights of the MediaCity and Salford Quays also act as a pleasant distraction from the testing event.

The triathlon may be run over a range of distances but don’t let that fool you it’s still a tough event. Even the sprint distance see competitors complete a 750m open water swim, followed by a 20km bike ride and just to make sure your tired top it all off with a 5km run… and that’s just the sprint distance.

We are pleased to say the event was a success for yet another year. We will hope to hear from the team at Salford Triathlon  ahead of next years event, and hope the event flagpoles proved themselves to be a useful addition to the race day branding.
